Obituary

Beverly Grant, 73, of Moberly passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 with her family at her side. She was born to the union of Rudolph and Francis (Washington) Alexander, October 10, 1948 in Detroit, MI

She married Monty Grant, Jr., October 11, 1997, in Paris, Mo. and he preceded her in death, May 1, 2021. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Great Grandparents George and Katie (Tomlin) Washington, brother Richard (Dickie) Washington, grandson Wendell Davis (Lil’man), and Aunt Anna Mae Washington. Survivors include her daughter Tonya Y Reed of Casa Grande, AZ, son Demetrius Reed of Moberly, Mo, Anika Reed (Hayes) of Columbia, Mo, Deniece and Keyatta Gilmore of Moberly, grandchildren Dareon, Demetrius (Meechie), Marques, Chima, Demetrius (Dylan), Demmetraus (Meechus), Nia, Nashea, Anyja, Aneris, Noelle, Myleah, Semaj, 5 great-grandchildren, Z'ryah, Aizlee, Aria, Janiyah, Aliza, Sister Sandra Smith, first cousin Patricia Jackson both of Columbia, Mo. and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, her beloved dog Ralphie, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.

Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a public visitation held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel that was followed by comments honoring and celebrating Beverly’s life.
