Beverley Jane Nissen, 77, of Chelsea OK formerly of Madison, passed away Monday May 2, 2022. She was born November 14, 1944 in Carrollton, MO to Marion and Lillian Gladys (Walker) Kitchen.
She married John Henry Nissen in 1975 and she became the step-mother to his 3 children; Cynthia Collen Edwards, John Henry Jr. and James Aaron Nissen.
Survivors include 6 grandchildren, her beloved nieces and nephews; David Olvera, Eric Olvera, Linda Westhoff, Charles Moser, Patricia Petersen, Douglas Kitchen Sr., Diana Sandlin, Debra Kemp, Darla Benson, Daren Kitchen, Derek Kitchen, Deana Grace and Richard A. Kitchen, 13 great nieces, and 9 great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Beverley was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; Kenneth Marion,Jr., Thomas William and Richard E. Kitchen, and 2 sisters Phyllis Darlene Olvera and Betty Mae Orsak.
She lived most of her life in Missouri and graduated from Carrollton MO high school, and college at Rockhurst Jesuit in Kansas City, MO. She became a licensed cosmetologist, and also worked as an Insurance Agent and Accountant and Notary prior to her retirement in 2010.
Beverley was baptized and gave her life to God in 1955 at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Moberly, and also attended several Pentecostal churches learning much more love and wisdom of God.
Services honoring and celebrating Beverley’s life were held graveside at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Committal prayer and burial followed.
