                                                               ANDREA'S STORY

 

Andrea Kitchen passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 20th, 2024. She was born, August 16th, 1971, to Gregory and Marjorie (Buckner) Logan in Columbia, Missouri.

Andrea attended Columbia Public Schools and graduated from Hickman High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and an Education Specialist Degree. Andrea was a lifelong educator, having served as a classroom teacher for over two decades before becoming an assistant principal, building principal, and educational consultant. From a very young age, Andrea developed a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and served actively for over three decades in various ministries, including music, youth ministry, outreach, women’s ministry, and pastoral leadership. She served alongside her husband Todd as Campus Pastor of Restoration Church of Northwest Arkansas before planting Discovery Church of Northwest Arkansas in 2018.

Andrea is survived by her husband Todd of Cleveland, Ohio, daughter Brianna (Ryne) of Dallas, Texas, son TJ of Fort Worth, Texas, and daughter Adriana of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She is also survived by her parents Gregory Logan (Sandra) of Columbia, Missouri, and Marjorie Buckner of Dallas, Texas; sisters Audrey and Trina (Gary); and brothers Travis, Cray (Jordan), and Cullen. Andrea was a loving wife, mother, mentor, and friend to all. Her warm smile and love for life were experienced by everyone who met her.

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Andrea Kitchen Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship will provide financial assistance to deserving Eastern Campus students, ensuring that her legacy of support and encouragement continues to inspire future generations. Words of comfort and support were shared with the family,at a visitation that was held at the Urban Empowerment Ministries, Columbia, Mo..  Funeral services honoring and celebrating Andrea's life followed.   Committal prayer and burial took place at the Huntsville City Cemetery.
