William D. “Bill” Henderson, 84, of Moberly, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018. He was born August 26, 1934 in Anna, IL to Homer and Helen (Rich) Henderson.

Bill enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1952 attaining the rank of Sergeant. He received an honorable discharge in 1955. Bill was a graduate of Illinois State University and attended the Temple University Law School.

Prior to retirement Bill worked for the Better Business Bureau for 35 years, managing bureaus in Philadelphia, New Orleans, Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach. After retiring he went into the dairy farm business in Wisconsin, later selling and moving to the Moberly area, where he bought a farm and was in the cattle business at the time of his passing.

Bill married Esther Yee on December 18, 1995 in Neillsville, WI and she survives of the home. Also surviving are his children; Carol O’Donnell and her husband Dennis, Linda Castillo and her husband Chico, Bill (Tony) Henderson all of the State of Louisiana and Scott Henderson of Moberly, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers, Bob Henderson and his wife Jackie of Liberty, MO and Tom Henderson and his wife Ann of Ft. Worth, TX, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church where he served as an Elder.

Memorials to the Zion Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

Services honoring and celebrating Bill’s life were held at the Zion Lutheran Church. Committal prayers, Military Honors and burial followed in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
