Obituary

Stuart Dean Clark passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at his home in Moberly, MO surrounded by family.

Stu was born October 3, 1951 in Hannibal, MO the son of Stanley and Shirley (Krigbaum) Clark. He married Marna Sullivan on April 18, 1981 in Paris at the home of her parents and she survives at the home. Other survivors include his brothers, Steve Clark and wife Diane of Marietta, GA, Scott Clark and wife Patsy of North Fort Myers, FL, his brother-in-law, Mark Sullivan and wife Tara of Independence, MO, nieces; Danielle Zack, Allison Clark and Katie Sullivan, nephews; Chris Clark and William Sullivan, and his two fur babies, Ruby and Birdie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his parents-in-law, Jim and Nancy Sullivan.

Stu graduated from Paris RII High School in 1969. He worked for South Western Bell and AT&T for 30 years, retiring in 2002. In his retirement he worked part time for Timber Lake Golf Course in Moberly.

Stu was an avid golfer, an active Moberly Greyhounds Booster, in addition to his love for the St. Louis Cardinals and Mizzou Tigers. Stu served as treasurer and President of the Moberly Greyhounds Booster Club and was involved for many years in organizing the Greyhounds Booster Club Golf Tournament, the Cotton Fitzsimmons Memorial Golf Tournament.

It is said that Stuart never knew a stranger. That was apparent in his great number of loyal friends. A perfect day for Stuart would be 18 holes of golf or a trip with his fishing buddies, a nap, followed by a good ribeye dinner!

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Moberly Greyhounds Booster Club or the Monroe County Cancer Supporters would be appreciated.

A Memorial gathering was held at the Bierman Center.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
