Sharon K. Thornburg

Sharon K. Thornburg, 58, of Moberly, died Friday, July 6, 2018 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. She was born January 31, 1960 in Moberly to Claude and Sallie (Sinclair) McDonald.

Sharon was married to Paul Thornburg on February 11, 1978 in Higbee and he preceded her in death on December 17, 2012. Also preceding her in death were her parents; Claude McDonald, Sallie and Kenneth Lawrence, a grandson, Devine See and a brother, Claude “Max” McDonald.

Survivors include her children, Paula See and her husband Darin of Higbee and Georgia Thornburg of Moberly, eight grandchildren; Courtland, Heaven and Haley Ross, Emily, Audrey and Zander See and John and Alexander Schell, a brother, Richard “Ricky” Sinclair and his wife Grace of Moberly, a sister, Helen “Cookie” Bohn and her husband Michael of Madison, Ashley McAnally and her husband Brandon, Dorothy “Nikki” Bailey and her husband Chris and Frank “Frog” Nejedly,  extended family, Candy and Buddy Woods and their kids and Beverly Still and her kids, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sharon enjoyed crocheting, dancing and playing darts. She never knew a stranger and she was a second mom to many. She will be remembered as being very outspoken and having unconditional love for everyone.

Service honoring and celebrating Sharon’s life were held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Private committal prayers and burial will be held at a later date.
