Scott Alan Sander, 53 of Cairo, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019. He was born August 21, 1965 in Cairo to Tony and Betty (Reynolds) Sander.
Scott was a lifelong resident of Cairo and was a farmer.
Survivors include his children, Greg Sander and his wife Jaymi and Rachel Stoneking and her husband Dante all of Moberly, two grandchildren, Jeremiah and Isaac Stoneking, his mother, Betty Sander of Cairo, his companion, Melissa Ewens of Cairo, three sisters; Sara Foster and her husband David of Stephens City, VA, Nancy Goins and her husband Scott of Moberly, Julie Taylor and Roby Boots of Moberly, sister-in-law, Dana Crutchfield and her husband Chad of Cairo, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Mark Sander.
Scott loved farming and being on the Holiday Acre Lake entertaining family and friends
Services honoring and celebrating Scott’s life were held at the St. Pius X Catholic Church. Committal prayers and burial followed in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
