Rose Marie Prewitt, 64, of Moberly, passed away, Monday, January 6, 2019. She was born May 19, 1955 in Quincy, IL to Vernon and Jacqueline (Newbanks) Harker.
Survivors include her daughters, Jackie Justus and Jennifer Ehrett and husband Keith all of Moberly, two brothers, Vernon Harker of Gainesville, GA and Gary Harker of Quincy, Il, four sisters; Norma Wear of Quincy, IL, Linda Godman of Hannibal, Sandy Harker of Quincy, IL and Laura Harker Rasplicka of Needles, CA, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and her cat Buster.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Angel Heavenly and two brothers, David and Michael Harker.
Rose enjoyed taking care of people; she had worked as a candy striper at the old St. Mary’s Hospital in Quincy, IL. and also volunteered in homeless shelters, clothing distribution shops and anywhere someone was in need. Rose loved crocheting, knitting, sewing, and working with all forms of crafts.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Hospice Compassus would be appreciated.
Services honoring and celebrating Rose’s life will were held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Harry Cunningham of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints officiating. Committal prayer and burial followed at the Oakland Cemetery.
