Obituary

 Patricia Kay Todd  79 of Moberly formerly of Piedmont, Mo, died December 13, 2018.  She was born September 18, 1939 in Boonville, MO to Edgar L. “Red” and Ruth (Lamm) Painter.

Pat was best known in Wayne County, Missouri as a woman who wrote about snakes and other wild things in a very popular outdoor publication, the River Hills Traveler.  She Co-founded the Traveler, alongside her husband, Bob, with whom she worked for over 30 years.  Pat loved tracking the weather and volunteered with KFVS News as a Weather Woman.  Active in the community, she also had a flare for cooking, often trying new recipes on the couples’ two children, Kim and Bo. 

Pat married Robert “Bob” Todd on May 16, 1959 in Boonville, MO and he survives of the home. Also surviving are her children:  Kim Todd Dickerson and her husband Bud of Moberly, MO and Bo Todd and his wife Marjorie of Festus, MO, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a brother, Jon Painter of Hannibal, MO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jim and Don Painter.

 Memorial Services honoring and celebrating Pat’s life were held at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Piedmont,Mo.  Private committal services and prayers were held at a later date.
