Minnie Coonce

Minnie Ellen Coonce, 80, of Moberly, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019. She was born September 18, 1939 in Quincy, IL to James D. and Evelyn (Summer) Prewitt.

Minnie married Charles Henry Coonce on March 28, 1959 in Moberly and he preceded her in death in 2008. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Denny Welch, sisters, Beverly and Shirley and a brother, Jim.

Survivors include her children; Joe and Libby Welch of Moberly, Tim and Debbie Coonce of Huntsville, MO, Charles Richard Coonce, Randy Coonce and Malinda Adams, Chris and Connie Coonce and Doug Coonce all of Moberly, 22 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren, a sister, Theresa Taylor and Scott of LaGrange, MO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Minnie lived most of her life in Moberly. She was a founding member of the Echoes of Calvary Church in Moberly. Minnie loved being involved in any and all church activities. She enjoyed cooking for her family, working crossword puzzles and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.

 Services honoring and celebrating Minnie’s life were held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayers and burial were held at the Oakland Cemetery.
