Obituary

Vickie Durham 73, of Macon Mo, passed away, Saturday March 30, 2024 at her home. Vickie was born September 11,1950 at Elmhurst, Illinois. She moved to Missouri with her parents where she later married the love of her life, Doyle Durham, of 54 years.

Vickie enjoyed being outside and lived a very simple life. She loved her family very much. She is survived by her husband Doyle Durham of the home. Three children Doyle Durham Jr. of Macon Mo, Doris Wiesenborn of Macon Mo, and Kimberlee Romanetto (Kurt) of New Cambria Mo. Nine grandchildren: Samantha (Nick) of Macon Mo, Trever (Kayla) of Macon Mo, Brett (Briley) of Sedalia Mo, Tiffany (Carl) of Macon Mo, Alex (Mercedes) of Brookfield Mo, Kylie of Macon Mo, Paisley of Minnesota, Nick of Atlanta Mo,Andrew and Andi both of Macon Mo. Six great grandchildren: Braxtyn, Knox, Rynlee, Nathaniel, Brayden and Avery, two brothers Richard McGowan and Lyle McGowan Jr, one sister Karen Reagan, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and several close friends. 

She was proceeded in death by her Father Lyle McGowan Sr. Her mother Doris McGowan and three siblings, Lucy Richardson, Robert (Bobby) McGowan, Linda Stamp, and Luther and Bernice Durham (her mother and father-in-law).  

Funeral Services honoring and celebrating Vickie’s life were held, graveside at the Grand Prairie Cemetery, Cairo, Mo.,  Committal prayer and burial followed.

Memorial Contributions made to the Stomach Research Foundation in care of Mr. Doyle Durham would be appreciated.
